Evolution and Revolution: Introducing the new generation of Lurbel LOOP belts
Since 2015 we have been pioneers in the creation of belts designed specifically for trail running. What started as an innovative idea has evolved over time, refined with each version to meet the needs of the most demanding runners. Today, after years of evolution, we present the new LOOP One, Two, Three line: the perfect synthesis of everything we have learned along the way.
A journey of constant innovation
LOOP BELT (2015): The origin of it all
The first two-way woven, second-skin belt was launched in 2015. Its revolutionary seamless design, with six compartments distributed along the perimeter, offered comfort and security without the need for external fasteners or clips. It was the first step towards a new concept of equipment for trail runners.
LOOP EVO (2017): Improved adaptability and functionality
Based on feedback from our users, in 2017 we incorporated a key improvement: anti-slip straps on the back to hold poles. This small but significant change allowed runners to quickly store and access their poles, optimising their performance on long-distance, steep runs.
LOOP EVO II (2019): More capacity, better accessibility
The next step in the evolution of the belt was the improvement of its pockets: they were enlarged to offer greater capacity, opening straps were added for easier access and a back pocket with Velcro closure was incorporated for greater security. In addition, sizing has been redefined for a more precise fit.
LOOP EVO III (2022): Increased capacity and optimised design
In 2022 we opted for a higher waistbelt (14 cm compared to the previous 9.5 cm), with reflectors on the pole straps and back pockets with double Velcro fastening. We also optimised the access straps and renewed its aesthetic design, bringing it in line with new market trends.
LOOP PRO (2018/2019): Performance to the next level
The evolution of trail running led us to develop an optimised version with IDT textile technology, achieving greater breathability and lightness. We reduced the number of compartments to four to improve capacity and included reflective piping on the pole straps, improving runner visibility and safety.
Bib Pro (2018/2019): The minimalist bib holder
Along with the LOOP PRO update, we launched the Bib Pro, a seamless bib carrier with breathable and antibacterial fabric. This accessory eliminated the need for safety pins, allowing you to attach your bib without damaging your equipment.
2025: The Ultimate Revolution – LOOP ONE, TWO, THREE
After years of research and testing with athletes, in 2025 we are launching the ultimate evolution: LOOP ONE, TWO, THREE, a new generation that unifies the key features of the previous models to offer three versions adapted to each runner:
- LOOP One: Minimalist belt for those looking for extreme lightness. Ideal for carrying: gels, bars, race number, keys.
- LOOP Two: 9.5 cm high belt, ideal for those who prefer a more compact profile. Ideal for carrying: gels, bars, bib, keys, mobile phone, 350 ml softlask, poles.
- LOOP Three: 14 cm high belt, with maximum capacity and optimised adjustment for long distances. gels, bars, backpack, keys, mobile phone, 350 ml and 500 ml softlask, poles, windbreaker.
Each of these models retains the essence of the seamless design, breathable fabric and ergonomics that have made our brand a benchmark in trail running.
